Senior Software Engineer
About this role
Assort Health is seeking product-minded software engineers to scale our AI-powered healthcare communication platform. You’ll build voice agents that act as the first point of contact for medical practices, handling appointment scheduling and patient triage. Our Python-centric stack collaborates with OpenAI and Gemini to advance healthcare access, and we’ve served 250, 000+ patients across 150+ clinics as we continue to grow.
What youll do
- Collaborate with a world-class engineering team to develop features and products from the ground up.
- Operate with autonomy to solve complex problems in innovative ways.
- Contribute to design and development discussions, offering fresh ideas and perspectives.
- Engage with healthcare professionals to tailor software solutions that meet real-world needs.
- Participate in an agile team focused on rapid development and deployment to meet ambitious goals.
- Develop scalable software solutions that comply with HIPAA and other security standards.
What Assort Health is looking for
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering positions.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Proficiency with Python backend frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI).
- Full-stack development with backend focus and touchpoints with React or React Native.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Expertise in audio and voice technology architecture.
- Experience building generative AI agents.
- Experience with Celery, Redis, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Willingness to work 4 days/week in-person in San Francisco.
