Store Assistant Manager is responsible for all aspects of customer relations and order processing. Will also assist the store manager in daily operations to control inventory, expenses and staff. This position is required to perform all services necessary for successful sales environment including, but not limited to obtaining or receiving merchandise, totaling bill, accepting payment, and providing excellent customer service in a retail store environment.

Starting Pay Rate $55K/Yearly - Pay to commensurate with experience

The primary job functions include, but are not limited to:

Plan and assign daily goals, tasks and assignments to staff members. Assure proper completion through follow-up
Assist in monitoring sales performance, assisting in adjusting strategies when necessary
Management of all office tasks including management of funds and media, receiving, inventory, payroll, and writing the employee schedule
Responsible for communication with all staff
Have ability to run all aspects of store in manager’s absence
Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives
Control shrink, expenses, and payroll
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.
Continually evaluate and react to performance issues; complete and administer 90-Day and Annual employee reviews
Train and develop store employees in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel
Ability to handle and resolve issues between employees and customers and/or among employees
Monitor and assist in Accounts Receivable collections
Willingness and ability to work additional hours (including weekends & holidays) as needed and travel to various company locations
Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service
Routinely contact and visit customers to foster improved communications and build upon relationships
Monitor sales trends, pricing and inventory levels and offer advice to Store Manager
Train and develop store staff, insuring all company policies and procedures are followed
Make proper, necessary decisions when the Store Manager is unavailable
Must present a good image of the company through proper dress and attitude
Must participate in and complete company sponsored and supported training
Attends training or uses printed media to increase product knowledge
Perform any other tasks or duties assigned by the Store Manager

QualificationsThe skill requirements include, but are not limited to:

Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems
Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system
Ability to communicate with associates and guests
Ability to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentation
Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds
Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations
Must be dependable as a key holder
Ability to open and close store as required
Ability to balance books and do deposit as required
Must maintain regular and prompt attendance
Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values

Experience Requirements

One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in automotive retail management and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
