About this role

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ITS serves all DSS program areas to fulfill their IT needs. To meet the business needs and ITS' workload, ITS is seeking qualified candidates in the areas of Database design, architecture, and development, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of various systems that ITS supports across DSS program areas.



Tasks & Duties

  • Design and Implement data security projects for the agency.
  • Develop and manage high-level road maps of project portfolios aligned with overall ITS strategy, business needs and strategies
  • Partner with appropriate Business stakeholders to facilitate the creation of business cases and value plans
  • Drive specific deliverables and ensure their conception, delivery, and effective implementation to meet a business need
  • Partner with appropriate ITS business stakeholders to develop Operational Support plans that ensure service reliability and availability
  • Perform Management Reporting and Information Dissemination
  • Provide responsive and clear communications to all stakeholders within ITS, the Business, and Suppliers
  • Continuously track and execute ITS roadmaps, business plans and forecasts from across the Agency Portfolios
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions



MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with the following skill sets:
  • IT Solutions Strategic Planning, Agile Processes and Tools like JIRA and SNOW.
  • Various software development lifecycle methodologies including working knowledge of Agile techniques.
  • JIRA, MS Office, Visio and MS Project
  • Development and management of high-level road maps of project portfolios aligned with overall strategy and business needs
