Responsibilities
- The purpose of the Internship Program is to introduce students to Arconic through a challenging and rewarding experience in the Industrial Engineering field.
- Shadow and assist groups throughout the Plant.
- Researches and completes projects as assigned.
- Experience hands-on learning through real-world quality systems.
- Develop a mid-summer presentation to include project findings and solutions to teams across the organization.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or any related or applicable discipline.
- Must have an expected graduation date in late Fall 2027, Spring/Summer of 2028
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Proficiency in Excel is required, along with an overall level of expertise in MS Office environments.

- Possess strong leadership competencies, and strong team and analytical skills; strategic thinking skills; dedication and enthusiasm for work in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, especially as part of a team.
- Involvement with one or more extracurricular activities, work-study or off-campus jobs, and/or volunteer positions.
Davenport Works is the country’s largest aluminum rolling mill, it was opened in 1948 and currently employs more than 2,000 people and ships product worldwide. It is in Riverdale in the Quad Cities (Davenport and Bettendorf in southeastern Iowa, and Rock Island and Moline in northwestern Illinois). The Quad Cities is 3 hours south-west of Chicago, 4 hours north of St. Louis, and less than 3 hours from Des Moines. The Quad Cities is home to St. Ambrose University among 8 educational institutes.
