What You’ll Do

As a Senior Accountant, you will take the lead on business accounting engagements, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all work products. You will serve as a trusted technical resource for the team, applying your advanced accounting and tax knowledge to resolve challenges, guide decision‑making, and uphold firm standards. You will also play a key role in strengthening internal processes, enhancing workflow efficiency, and contributing to leadership initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the firm.

Advanced Accounting & Tax

Perform and oversee client accounting matters, month‑end and year‑end close processes, payroll and other business reporting areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and support schedules to ensure completeness and compliance.
Support the preparation of individual and business tax returns across a variety of entity types.
Lead GAAP and tax research on issues and apply findings to client‑specific situations.

Client Leadership

Serve as a trusted accounting advisor for business clients, acting as a primary point of contact for questions and issues.
Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements that benefit client operations and financial outcomes.
Communicate accounting and tax matters in a clear, professional, and client‑friendly manner.

Team Leadership & Quality Control

Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen team skills and capabilities.
Ensure the team’s adherence to firm standards, policies, and deadlines.
Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members to support smooth integration into the firm.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Contribute to developing documentation, standardized procedures, and best practices.
Support leadership on special projects and firm‑wide initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

Certifications

QuickBooks Pro Advisor

CPA Preferred

Technical Skills

Strong, up‑to‑date technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software, along with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.

Soft Skills

Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly
