Overview

Apogee has a new and exciting opportunity for a  Communications & Operations Executive who supports leadership by drafting and coordinating high-level communications and assisting with information governance practices. Ensures messaging is clear, aligned with leadership intent, and handled in accordance with applicable policies.

 

 

**Contingent Upon Contract Award**

Responsibilities

  • Help plan and execute the development contracts, to include PWS development and facilitation of technical evaluations.
  • Working directly and indirectly with 20+ development teams spread across 5+ different companies to help with external messaging to HAF representatives and multiple external organizations. 
  • Draft and edit executive correspondence, talking points, and briefings for leadership.
  • Generate monthly reports in the PMR format. Financials, personnel resources, strategy communications. 
  • Support coordination and routing of sensitive communications for review and approval.
  • Assist in applying information governance practices, including proper handling and documentation of sensitive/executive communications.
  • Help prepare the monthly Directorate Communication Summary Report summarizing key executive-level exchanges and themes.
  • Work with senior staff to ensure consistency of messaging across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in tracking modernization milestones, tasks, and activities.
  • Help collect and organize data on task progress, schedule performance, and identified issues.
  • Support analysis of workflows to identify emerging bottlenecks or risks to operational continuity.
  • Contribute to the monthly Directorate Operational Status Report with data, charts, and narrative inputs.
  • Coordinate with more senior analysts, program managers, and technical leads to validate status information.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Education / Years of Experience:

  • 8+ years experience. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Policy, International Relations, Journalism, Business, or related field, with at least two (2) years’ related experience.
  • PM experience with resource planning, presentation development, strong writing skills, preferably some experience within the AF IC.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely for senior audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with standard office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, presentation software).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting senior leaders (e.g., O-6, GO/FO, SES) in DoD or IC organizations.
  • Familiarity with records management or information governance policies.
  • Experience preparing communication summaries or similar reporting products.
