What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment:

Perform patient evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
Manage outpatient and hospitalized emergency cases
Perform emergency procedures including centeses, CPR, wound repair, and stabilization
Interpret diagnostics including laboratory work, radiographs, and point-of-care ultrasound (AFAST/TFAST)
Communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians
Collaborate with specialists and nursing staff on complex cases
Maintain accurate and timely medical records

QualificationsRequirements

DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Maryland
Prior emergency medicine experience required
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to participate in a shared weekend rotation

Schedule

Combination of day, swing, and overnight shifts
Shared weekend rotation
Full-time position
