Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

A Turner Commercial Pest Control (CPC) Technician is to perform inspections, implementing of treatment, and exceptional communication with customers. These services include recurring pest control, service calls, and initial services to hospitality, hospitals, and other commercial businesses. They may also provide overflow coverage of recurring services as deemed necessary by management. These technicians’ days can vary by service area and location daily and require flexible scheduling day by day.  

 

Duties include:  

  • Provide quality and effective pest detection, elimination and prevention solutions to an established route of commercial customers. 

  • Conduct interior and exterior inspections to identify conditions conducive to pests  

  • Safely driving a company vehicle  

  • Long periods of walking, kneeling, squatting. Could involve walking up to 7 miles per day.  

  • Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers  

  • Use of handheld computerized equipment to manage service calls and documents  

  • Provide customers with general information about our various services  

  • Conduct service calls as needed  

  • Problem solving and/or complaint resolution  

  • Enjoy working outdoors  

  • Have excellent listening and communication skills  

 

 

 

 

Ideal candidates will:  

  • Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions  

  • Be able to calculate basic mathematic equations  

  • Not have a fear of bugs, snakes, rodents, etc.  

  • Not have a fear of tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics  

  • Be able to withstand long periods of squatting, standing and walking; including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl  

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases.  

  • Be able to lift/move up to 50lbs  

  • Safe use of portable ladders within the manufacturer's specifications and OSHA regulations 

  • Have excellent listening and communication skills  

  • Be competent with the use of new technology  

  • Be organized and able to manage their own daily route  

  • Be able to navigate their daily route with GPS  

  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety regulations  

 

Qualifications and Requirements:  

  • Must be at least 21 years of age 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license  

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening 

  • Ability to work independently, manage route-based work, and provide exceptional customer service.
