This position supports the Anchor Fabrication Kansas’ mission by ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity through the timely completion and review of jobs, investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies, execution of cycle counts and audits, and employee training in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

Run assigned morning inventory and production reports.
Review and resolve negative on-hand inventory discrepancies daily to maintain accurate inventory levels and purchasing requirements.
Collect, review, post, and complete production job packets from manufacturing, powder coat, assembly, and other departments.
Post labor, material, and job details to completed work orders as required.
Research, locate, and process jobs for parts moved directly to production.
Reconcile and audit jobs by reviewing transactions, generating reports, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring jobs are completed and moved to history accurately.
Scan, file, and distribute completed job documentation according to established procedures.
Identify and correct common job errors whenever possible before closing work orders.
Investigate inventory and production discrepancies involving jobs, warehouse inventory, production operations, and assembly processes; collaborate with management to determine corrective actions.
Work closely with the Inventory Manager to research and resolve complex inventory and job-related discrepancies.
Coordinate inventory adjustments with the Purchasing Manager when required.
Process and post jobs from specialized production areas
Review Work-in-Process (WIP) reports to maintain accurate inventory and production records.
Perform inventory audits, issue parts to jobs when necessary, and verify inventory is stored in the correct locations.
Conduct periodic audits of kitted weldments and other inventory items.
Collaborate with other departments regarding discrepancies.
Cross-train in receiving, warehouse operations, purchasing support, and outside processing activities to provide departmental coverage as needed.
Assist other departments as needed to support operational and inventory objectives.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation and Work Experience Requirements:

High school education or equivalent, required.
Manufacturing background, required.
3 years of Inventory Control, required.
2 years of experience with MRP, preferred.

Skills

Strong inventory control and auditing skills.
Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve discrepancies.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and reporting tools.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Collaboration across multiple departments including Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions

Normal office environment with exposure to shop environment.
Frequent walking throughout the facilities.
Occasional bending, squatting, and twisting.
Ability to lift 25 pounds independently.
