Highland Animal Hospital is seeking a FULL-TIME Experienced Veterinary Technician/or Assistant to join our dedicated and compassionate team!

We're looking for a veterinary technician with 15–20 years of hands-on veterinary experience who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care while mentoring and supporting fellow team members. If you thrive in a fast-paced hospital, take pride in your technical skills, and enjoy working alongside an experienced team that values collaboration and high-quality medicine, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

  • 15-20yrs Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
  • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Fill and prepare prescriptions as directed by the veterinarian, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Mentor and support less experienced technicians and assistants while promoting a positive team environment.
