Job Summary:
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy by leading cycle counter(s)/material kitter(s) as well as enforcing materials policies and processes for all departments. This position will lead small-scale and large-scale cycle counts and be responsible for root causing inventory discrepancies and adjusting Plex when necessary. It will also be responsible for providing inventory forecasts and materials needs for lineside production completion/shipment. In this position attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced working environment are vital. This job will require strong computer and communication skills. Collaborative efforts with all internal departments and customers will be required.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and forecasting inventory needs
- Managing inventory analyst(s) and cycle counters/kitters to provide lineside production with parts needed for builds
- Implement small- and large-scale physical inventory cycle counts
- Root cause inventory discrepancies
- Perform inventory adjustments as necessary
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail are critical in this position
- Excel and Microsoft Office experience required for reports and data manipulation
- Become a subject matter expert in Plex and assist in training on use
- Ensure PCR and ECN workflows are evaluated and completed
- Assist in product movement activities including instruction for Shipping/Receiving/Forklift drivers
- This job may require obtaining a forklift license
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Knowledge of material handling, storage systems, and production support logistics
- Ability to coordinate schedules and communicate effectively with production and operations teams
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Plex specific experience is a plus)
- Sound decision making skills in an environment with on-going changing priorities
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively
- Ability to obtain a PIV license
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field required preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years of related materials, logistics, or production support experience required
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required.
Background Prerequisites:
- Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience in manufacturing industry
- Microsoft Office with Excel
- Plex Software (will train the right candidate)
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO14001 compliance

- Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, and reach with arms
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Repetitiveness: Moderate; tasks will involve computer entry and inventory handling
Work Environment: Combination of office and fast-paced warehouse/production floor environments
Hazards/PPE: Regular exposure to warehouse and production floor conditions; PPE required as per company policy
Travel Requirements: Minimal; may occasionally travel to customer or supplier sites.
