As a Community Participation Specialist (DSP), you will be making a direct impact on the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while working one-on-one.

What you will be doing:

• Helping an individual with intellectual disabilities live their best life (which may include helping with personal hygiene, cleaning, cooking, taking them out into the community, and keeping them safe)
• Complete daily progress notes so that everyone knows what is going on with that individual. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our CPS program, you will be making a direct impact on the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while working with an individual in the community.
• You are being a responsible friend, mentor, helper, and supporter!
• Monitor, document, and report any changes in individuals, emotional, physical, and mental health promptly.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and clean environment for the individual and yourself.

This is an opportunity for anybody in the Pittsburgh area who:

Is 18 years of age or older.

Has a high school diploma or equivalent.

Has a valid Driver's License.

Can pass a criminal background check.

Is experienced with caregiving, IDD, or autism.

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

•The base schedule for this position is determined by the individuals being supported but is primarily a Monday-Friday position.

Experience:

Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Required)
