Pharmacy Technician – Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) | Part-Time | Carrick, PA

As a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) Pharmacy Technician, you will serve as an onsite liaison between Altruix and Crossroads Treatment Center of Carrick, working directly with patients, providers, Crossroads staff, and the Altruix pharmacy team to coordinate medications and support an exceptional patient experience.

This is a part-time, onsite position reporting directly to Crossroads Treatment Center of Carrick, located at 3000 Brownsville Road, Carrick, PA 15210. This position does not require daily travel to the Altruix Uniontown pharmacy.

The schedule for this position is:

  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM–3:45 PM
  • Thursday: 10:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM

What You'll Do

  • Report directly to Crossroads Treatment Center of Carrick for scheduled shifts.
  • Serve as the onsite liaison between Altruix and Crossroads, helping maintain effective communication between the facility and pharmacy teams.
  • Provide onsite pharmacy support and coordinate patient medication needs.
  • Coordinate specialty medication orders from intake through fulfillment.
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient and prescription information in pharmacy systems.
  • Serve as a point of contact for patients, providers, Crossroads staff, and the Altruix pharmacy team.
  • Support prior authorizations, insurance verification, and benefits investigations.
  • Track and follow up on pending prescriptions, refills, and required documentation.
  • Communicate medication needs, changes, questions, and concerns to the appropriate Altruix pharmacy team members.
  • Help ensure medications are coordinated and available to patients in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through daily interactions with patients, providers, and care teams.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to support continuity of patient care.
  • Support additional pharmacy and patient care coordination functions as needed.



Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration or active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or medical office setting.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn pharmacy software.
  • Ability to work independently onsite while maintaining consistent communication with the Altruix pharmacy team.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Technician experience in retail, long-term care, or specialty pharmacy.
  • Data entry and prescription processing experience.
  • Prior authorization or insurance verification experience.
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
