Altruix is seeking a Medication Coordinator to serve as the onsite bridge between Crossroads Treatment Center of Bloomfield and Altruix Pharmacy. In this part-time Long-Term Care role you will build relationships with clinic staff, assist individuals with medications and insurance, enroll patients in Altruix pharmacy services, and help patients receive the support they need.

This is a part-time, onsite position. Each morning, you will report to Crossroads Treatment Center of Bloomfield, 4105-07 Penn Ave., First Floor, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15224. The schedule is Tuesday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, Wednesday 10:00 AM–3:30 PM, Thursday 11:00 AM–3:30 PM, and Friday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel daily to this site in a personal vehicle are required.

Employees hired as Medication Coordinators will be expected to obtain a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Registration. Altruix will provide and pay for the required Pharmacy Technician training and registration process. Once registered, employees may have the opportunity to transition into a Pharmacy Technician role with expanded responsibilities and increased compensation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Onsite Liaison & Growth:

  • Serve as the onsite liaison between Crossroads Treatment Center and Altruix Pharmacy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinic staff and individuals receiving care
  • Educate clinic staff and patients on Altruix's pharmacy services and support offerings
  • Recruit and enroll patients into Altruix Pharmacy by collecting enrollment forms and insurance information
  • Collect prescriptions and facilitate timely transmission to the pharmacy


Medication Access & Follow-Up:

  • Ensure patient insurance information is current and accurately maintained
  • Support patients with medication-related questions by coordinating communication with pharmacists
  • Assist with prior authorizations, insurance issues, and patient assistance programs
  • Monitor medication compliance through regular patient outreach (at least monthly)
  • Manage prescription refills by monitoring reports and coordinating with prescribers
  • Assist with medication deliveries when permitted by state regulations
  • Check medication storage areas and monitor medication expiration dates for both personal and house account medications
  • Identify medication discrepancies, dose changes, or discontinued medications and communicate concerns appropriately
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of six (6) months of healthcare, behavioral health, customer service, or related experience
  • Experience working in behavioral health or mental health settings preferred
  • Sales, outreach, or marketing experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with insurance information and healthcare documentation
  • Willingness to obtain a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Registration through Altruix's company-sponsored training program
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel daily to the Crossroads Treatment Center of Bloomfield, PA using a personal vehicle
  • Ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service
