Position Title: Lead Title Administration Specialist

Full Salary Range: $23.05 - $34.58
Hiring Salary Range: $23.05 - $28.81
Primary Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary subject matter expert for vehicle title administration, lien perfection, collateral documentation, ELT administration, DMV compliance, and title-related servicing activities supporting the consumer lending portfolio. Maintains operational ownership of all consumer lending title administration processes and serves as the primary escalation point for complex title and collateral issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collateral Administration, Lien Perfection & Title Operations
- Maintain operational ownership of all consumer lending title administration activities.
- Process titles, lien recordings, registrations, transfers, and releases across all U.S. jurisdictions.
- Ensure timely and accurate lien perfection and collateral documentation.
- Track, monitor, and resolve title exceptions and deficiencies.
Electronic Lien & Title (ELT) Administration
- Serve as primary administrator for ELT systems and vendors.
- Monitor electronic filings, releases, and title maintenance activities.
- Support implementation, testing, and procedural updates.
Regulatory Compliance & DMV Governance
- Monitor multi-state DMV regulations and implement regulatory changes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and audit requirements.
Collections & Recovery Support
- Serve as primary title resource for collections, repossessions, recoveries, and collateral disposition.
Vendor & Program Administration
- Administer relationships with title-related vendors and ELT providers.
- Coordinate ancillary product administration activities including GAP cancellation and refund requests when applicable.
- Monitor vendor performance and service levels.
Quality Control, Risk Management, & Reporting
- Maintain operational controls, reporting, audit readiness, and process improvements.
Training & Subject Matter Expertise
- Serve as departmental SME and provide guidance, procedures, and training.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Three to five years of vehicle title administration, DMV processing, collateral administration, or related financial services experience.
