Job Description:
Responsible for providing and maintaining effective customer service and satisfaction; provide information to resolve customer shipment related issues; interact with management and personnel to establish service criteria and meet customer requirements. Seeking an entry writer(s) to help us out with the following duties:
 
Responsibilities:
  • Processing customs brokerage for air and ocean shipments
  • Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and PGA’s (participating Government Agencies)
  • Follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems
  • Answer both customer inquiries and inter-company inquiries
  • Classify goods in the harmonized tariff schedule (broad range of commodities)
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Customs Brokerage for both air and ocean shipments
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Customs Brokerage software, experience working with Cargowise is a plus
  • Must be a team player
