Job Description:
Responsible for providing and maintaining effective customer service and satisfaction; provide information to resolve customer shipment related issues; interact with management and personnel to establish service criteria and meet customer requirements. Seeking an entry writer(s) to help us out with the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Processing customs brokerage for air and ocean shipments
- Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and PGA’s (participating Government Agencies)
- Follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems
- Answer both customer inquiries and inter-company inquiries
- Classify goods in the harmonized tariff schedule (broad range of commodities)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Customs Brokerage for both air and ocean shipments
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be detailed oriented
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Customs Brokerage software, experience working with Cargowise is a plus
- Must be a team player
