Position Summary

Provides technical after-sales support to customers, dealers, and internal personnel by assisting with the diagnosis and resolution of routine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Supports training initiatives, service documentation, and customer follow-up activities while developing product knowledge and technical expertise.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Respond to customer, dealer, and internal technical support inquiries regarding operation, maintenance, and repair of company products.
  • Troubleshoot routine service issues under established procedures and guidance from senior team members.
  • Document service cases accurately and maintain complete records within service systems.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of service bulletins and technical communications.
  • Support training activities by preparing materials and assisting with classroom or field training events.
  • Follow up on open customer cases to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with warranty evaluations, including visual inspections and documentation of failed components.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior technical service staff or engineering.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings related to service concerns and product quality initiatives.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and can effectively decompress pressure situations.
  • Must be an active listener with the ability to ask questions that remove ambiguity and make situations clear.
  • Must use a data-driven analytical approach to decision-making with the right balance of customer empathy.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read basic electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong customer service and communications skills.
  • Strong presentation skills. Ability to develop training material for the audience.
  • Must be able to prioritize work schedule, work under pressure, and meet goals/objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to solve problems, persuade and motivate.
  • Ability to use common hand tools, multi-meters and diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Education and Experience

  • Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent experience in a mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of technical support, service, maintenance, or repair experience.

Working Conditions

  • Willing to work extended hours when required.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to wear PPE.
