  • Four or more years of progressive sales experience, preferably in industrial, municipal, contractor, equipment, or related markets.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.

  • Experience with forecasting, territory planning, CRM systems, spreadsheets, and sales reporting.

  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory, attend trade shows, and maintain an insurable driving record.

  • Ability to climb on equipment and lift up to 50 pounds during product demonstrations.

Regional Sales Manager – Petersen Industries

Petersen Industries is seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Manager to grow sales, strengthen dealer relationships, and support municipal and contractor customers across an assigned region. This field-based role combines strategic territory management, product training, forecasting, customer development, and hands-on equipment demonstrations.

The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with strong industrial, municipal, contractor, or equipment-sales experience. You will serve as a trusted product expert for dealers and customers while partnering closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to identify opportunities, improve market position, and achieve territory growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive regional sales growth and develop new dealer, contractor, and municipal customer opportunities.

  • Train customers and dealer sales teams on product features, benefits, programs, and sales strategies.

  • Build and maintain customer relationships; lead territory meetings and represent Petersen Industries at trade shows.

  • Forecast sales demand, recommend inventory levels, and coordinate delivery schedules and order frequency.

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, sales reports, margin analysis, and competitive-market updates.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to resolve customer issues, assess product availability, and identify new product opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate account, contact, and opportunity information in the CRM system.

  • Conduct hands-on equipment demonstrations at customer sites and provide ongoing sales-team guidance.
