About this role

Akira Technologies is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to support NAVFAC Marianas with Tier 1/Tier 2 technical support, mobile device management, IT asset management, telecommunications, and day-to-day IT operations.

This is an onsite role supporting the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Marianas in Piti and Santa Rita, Guam. Candidate will also be asked to support other NAVFAC building sites on the Naval Base Guam, Marine Corps Base Camp (Blaz, Guam), and Andersen Air Force Base.  An active Secret security clearance or higher is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and document Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support, including ticket resolution, routing, and tracking in the designated enterprise ticketing system.
  • Provision, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise mobile devices using MDM solutions.
  • Manage IT hardware, peripherals, MFDs, and software assets throughout their lifecycle, including inventory, deployment, custody tracking, and DRMO disposal.
  • Maintain telecommunications records, including phone assignments, telephone directories, and VoIP/landline service requests.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, technical documentation, and IT communications.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, status reports, briefings, correspondence, and other administrative/IT reporting.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the NAVFAC CIO3 IT Office.
  • Prepare accurate monthly invoicing and supporting documentation in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing enterprise or government IT technical support, including Tier 1/Tier 2 helpdesk functions.
  • Experience with MDM, IT asset management, telecommunications, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Required Certification

Prior to onboarding, candidates must possess and maintain at least one of the following approved certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+
  • EC-Council Certified Network Defender (CND)
  • GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT)
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)

Salary Range:  $55,000 to $70,000

Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization.
