About this role

Akira is seeking a Project Manager – Intermediate to support the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) in cyberspace operations supporting Army and joint requirements. This position will provide day-to-day management and coordination of contractor personnel supporting the assessment of Army cyberspace incidents, events, and operations on Army networks.

This is an onsite role supporting Fort Bragg in NC. Ideal candidate should possess an active DoD Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day administration and coordination of the contractor team supporting USARC Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO).
  • Coordinate staffing, schedules, task assignments, deliverables, and operational priorities.
  • Monitor contract performance, staffing levels, workload, schedules, and mission requirements.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and contractor personnel to maintain mission continuity.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain standard service reporting, including threat assessments, compliance reports, CCRI reports, briefings, and cybersecurity assessment reports.
  • Prepare recurring program status reports covering Blue Team and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) activities, open incidents, significant findings, deliverable status, and personnel changes.
  • Track operational activities, identify emerging issues, and ensure appropriate escalation of staffing, schedule, performance, and mission-impacting concerns.
  • Support contract phase-in, personnel onboarding, knowledge transfer, and continuity-of-operations activities.
  • Ensure contractor personnel comply with applicable security, operational, documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Support coordination and preparation for operational reviews, technical exchanges, briefings, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of mission priorities and adjust contractor resources and task assignments as operational requirements evolve.
  • Perform other project management and operational coordination duties in support of USARC cyberspace operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of documented specialized operational experience in a DoD or enterprise IT environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical, cybersecurity, or IT teams in an operational environment.
  • Experience coordinating personnel, schedules, task assignments, deliverables, and customer requirements.
  • Experience developing operational, technical, and management reports.
  • Experience working with Government customers, stakeholders, or mission partners in a DoD environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver clear operational briefings and reports.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mission-focused, classified environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
  • Active Secret security clearance and T5 investigation consistent with PWS requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Army, Army Reserve, or joint cyberspace operations.
  • Experience supporting Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO), Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), Blue Team operations, cybersecurity assessments, or incident response.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, operational reporting, and security assessment processes.
  • Experience supporting Cybersecurity Readiness Inspections (CCRI) or similar cybersecurity compliance activities.
  • Project management certification or relevant DoD/industry training is a plus.

Salary Range:  $115,000 to $125,000
