Intern (Durée déterminée) (Stagiaire)The Loss Prevention Intern works closely with the Safety Manager and other members of the Plant Leadership team on various tasks and projects to help ensure plant compliance with all rules/regulations. The Loss Prevention Intern helps ensure safe building and equipment upkeep as well as modeling and providing training on safe behavior for all employees. Responsibilities will vary based on assignments and specific plant needs.

Where You Will Drive Value

  • Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects that enhance employee health, safety, and operational performance.
  • Assist with safety program evaluations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) programs.

  • Collect, analyze, and track data to measure the effectiveness of implemented safety improvements.

  • Support incident and near-miss investigations and help identify corrective and preventive actions.

  • Assist in developing, updating, and communicating safety procedures, training materials, and employee resources.

  • Partner with employees and leaders across the plant to identify hazards, improve safety awareness, and promote a strong safety culture.

  • Gain exposure to regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and environmental health and safety programs.

  • Present project outcomes, recommendations, and key learnings at the conclusion of the internship.

What Will Enable You to Have an Impact

  • Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Interest in safety management systems, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
