We currently have a full-time Executive Assistant position open on  our Executive team . The Executive Assistant to the President provides high-level administrative and organizational support to the President of the company, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. This role will be based in our Silver Spring, Maryland office with hybrid flexibility.  This position is inclusive of our company benefits package which offers healthcare, employer matching 403(b), paid vacation, professional training, and other programs.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage the President’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel.
  • Prepare correspondence, presentations, and reports on behalf of the President.
  • Screen and prioritize incoming communications, ensuring timely responses and follow-up.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive organizational and personnel information.
  • Coordinate logistics for board meetings, including agenda preparation, material distribution, and minute-taking.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of board and committee activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for board members and other senior stakeholders.
  • Organize internal and external meetings, including conference calls, executive retreats, and leadership events.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and post-meeting summaries or action items.
  • Assist in the tracking and coordination of strategic initiatives led by the President.
  • Conduct research and compile data to support decision-making and presentations.
  • Manage special projects and cross-functional efforts as assigned.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the President and internal departments, clients, church leadership, and external partners.
  • Uphold and reflect the values and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in all communications and interactions.
  • Maintain organized and efficient filing systems, both electronic and physical.
  • Process expense reports, invoices, and reimbursements related to the President’s office.
  • Manage office supplies and vendor relationships as needed for the executive office.

 

What you need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 year experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  •  Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Event Planning skills
  • Self directed
