Painter Helper _ South Houston

Purpose of the Position:

Work with ACSI painters to produce a quality finished product each and every time by using personal skills, equipment, and established manufacturing processes associated with finished paint coatings including wet and/or powder coat paint applications.

 

Essential job functions:

• Meet and or exceed company metrics including Safety; Quality; Cost; and Delivery.
• Work with painters to reduce waste in manufacturing processes.
• Read and interpret drawings allowing manufacturing to build to the design intent.
• Prep raw material for the painter to apply paint.
• Mix paint pots for the painters.
• Keep area clean and free of any safety hazards.
• Adhere to any established painting prep processes.
• Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor or lead man.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to understand and execute directions from supervisor and or lead man.
• Knowledge of reading measurement equipment; tape measure, mil thickness gage.
• 1-3 years experience in paint process applications preferably Steel and metal structures.
• 1-3 years working with finished goods painters

 

Physical Demands:

• 100% shop.

 

Hours:

Week: 40+ Lunch: 30 minutes Sitting: Standing: 50% Walking: 50%

• Indoor/outdoor work.
