We are looking for a polished, personable, and highly organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our New York studio. As the face of Adjaye Associates, you will set the tone for every visitor and caller, ensuring a warm and professional experience that reflects the values and reputation of the firm. You will work closely with the operations team to support the smooth day-to-day running of the studio.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional welcome to all Adjaye Associates guests and visitors
  • Maintain a professional image of the studio at all times
  • Answer, screen, and filter all incoming calls, directing inquiries appropriately
  • Manage and coordinate meeting room bookings and availability on a daily basis
  • Assist with studio mail-outs and incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Assist the operations team with administrative tasks as required
  • Support the organization and coordination of office events and team activities
  • Maintain the reception area and common spaces to a high standard of presentation
  • Liaise with vendors, couriers, and building management as needed
  • Assist with general office supply management and ordering

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 year or less of experience in a receptionist, front of house, or administrative role
  • Experience within an architecture, design, or creative firm preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional demeanor with a warm and welcoming presence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with office management tools and platforms a plus
