Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer with expertise in .NET to join our dynamic development team in Serbia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development, and the ability to work in an agile environment.

 

JOB DUTIES:
 

• Develop and maintain ecommerce services and system integrations 
• Build microservices aligned with modern architectural standards 
• Standardize custom features across customer‑facing platforms (including our punchout site) 
• Modernize core services and data flows 
• Optimize backend components for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency 
• Participation in engineering excellence & continuous improvement activities 

YOU MUST HAVE:
 

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on development experience 
• Strong experience with .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET) 
• Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns 
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) 
• Familiarity with RESTful services and API development
• Experience using Git or other version control systems 
• Ability to work both independently and within a team 
• Good English communication skills 

WE VALUE:
 

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS/GCP) 
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies 
• Experience with API management platforms and orchestration tools (Apigee, Boomi, Airflow or similar) 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively 
• Experience working with distributed and cross‑functional teams 
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to suggest improvements
