About this role
Forward Deployed Software Engineers at Adé AI blend world-class software engineering with general problem solving skills and entrepreneurial instincts. Our engineers work directly with clients to build, customize, and integrate our software solutions into their specific environments, ensuring high-impact results through hands-on execution. Every day brings a new engineering challenge as you own the end-to-end technical solution, from data ingestion to front-end deployment. On any given day an Adé FDSWE may be building a production-grade data pipeline to unify disparate systems, vibe coding a custom front-end application to tackle a particularly challenging user workflow, or optimizing AI & ML model performance on a client's specific use case. Our FDSWEs work alongside and are supported by the Implementation Leads (product manager/consultant/hands on keys hacker).
Our FDSWEs are jacks of all trades. You don’t need to be an expert in every category, but you must be a fast learner with a high general comfort level across different technologies.
System Design & Strategy: Lead technical decision-making on what to build and when to build it to meet specific client mission requirements.
Data Engineering: Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines to ingest, clean, and unify disparate client data sources.
AI & Context Engineering: Own the LLM stack—including prompt/context engineering, building RAG workflows, and performing robust AI evaluations.
Applied ML/DS: Implement classical ML and data science techniques to process unstructured data and optimize model performance.
Frontend Applications: Architect and deploy React-based applications using modern AI tooling, with custom UIs tailored to solve business problems.
Technical Delivery: Partner with Implementation Leads to integrate solutions directly into client environments and resolve high-stakes bottlenecks.
Mission Reliability & On-Time Delivery: Own production monitoring and alerting to ensure system uptime, while partnering with Implementation Leads to manage overall project timelines.
