Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Forward Deployed Software Engineers at Adé AI blend world-class software engineering with problem solving and entrepreneurial instincts. You’ll work directly with clients to build, customize, and integrate our solutions, owning end-to-end technical delivery from data ingestion to front-end deployment. This role delivers high-impact outcomes every day, supported by Implementation Leads.

What youll do

• System Design & Strategy: Lead technical decision-making on what to build and when to build it to meet client mission requirements.
• Data Engineering: Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines to ingest, clean, and unify disparate client data sources.
• AI & Context Engineering: Own the LLM stack—including prompt/context engineering, building RAG workflows, and evaluating AI performance.
• Applied ML/DS: Implement classical ML and data science techniques to process unstructured data and optimize model performance.
• Frontend Applications: Architect and deploy React-based applications using modern AI tooling, with custom UIs to solve business problems.
• Technical Delivery: Partner with Implementation Leads to integrate solutions into client environments and resolve high-stakes bottlenecks.
• Mission Reliability & On-Time Delivery: Own production monitoring and alerting to ensure uptime, while managing project timelines with Implementation Leads.

What Adé AI is looking for

• 2+ years in software engineering building customer-facing applications.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript; React frontend experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration in production and strong understanding of RAG patterns.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary or entrepreneurial projects and cross-functional work.
• Willingness to travel to client sites up to 50% of the time.
• Strong CS fundamentals; CS degree or related field preferred.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools and incorporating them into workflows.
• Experience in hard hat industries (e.g., manufacturing, mining, construction).
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in NYC; comfortable collaborating in person and remotely.
• GPA 3.5+ or a clear explanation for a lower GPA.
