About this role
We are looking for a Software Engineer, Applied AI/Product with 3+ years of experience to build and ship agentic workflows on a platform at the intersection of medicine and law. You'll own problems end-to-end—from agent logic to the user interface—at a profitable, fast-growing startup ($10M+ ARR in under 14 months) that's building the best care experience in healthcare on a 30-year horizon.
What will you be doing?
Building and shipping new agentic workflows that automate steps of complex casework for physicians and ops teams
Designing and iterating on eval frameworks that determine whether an agent's output is reliable enough to ship
Improving how the platform ingests, indexes, and assembles case context for agents to work from
Building tooling and interfaces that bring agent capabilities into users' day-to-day workflows
Setting patterns and tooling for AI-native development that the rest of the team builds on
Key Requirements
Hands-on experience working with frontier AI models and their evaluation frameworks
Owns problems end-to-end, from agent logic to the user interface
Ships high-quality code fast—can take a vague problem to a shipped solution without a spec
Engineers for correctness and reliability, not just functionality
Able to work in-office in San Francisco Tuesday–Thursday (no relocation support)
