Job DetailsSalary Range: $18.45 - $18.45 HourlyJob Category: Human ResourcesTo develop a foundational understanding of the HR function and professional workplace dynamics. The Intern will have an opportunity for hands-on experience working in the areas of Recruitment, Engagement & Retention, Learning & Development, Compliance, and Planning

Duties and responsibilities

Engage in HR activities designed to enhance general HR understanding.

Project work may include

Creating and posting job advertisements online and via social media.
Assist in audit preparations for common HR related audits.
Assembling digital information packets to build toolkits online for managers and employees.

Assist in preparing training materials.
Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation preparation.
Research and prepare ad-hoc analysis.
Organize or file documents.
Prepare meeting notes.
Track progress, priorities, and deadlines of various projects.
Participate in the planning and development of departmental initiatives.
Other duties and related projects as assigned.

QualificationsEducation & Experience

Enrolled in or recent graduate from an HR management or business degree program.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to perform the duties described above.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work at least 15 hours per week (maximum 20 hours per week) and be present on site at least 2 days a week.
Ability to commit to the intern position for 90 days or until end of semester/quarter (opportunity available to extend past single semester/quarter if interested).

Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential background.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Working conditions

This is primarily an onsite role, with some offsite work available. Work is conducted in a standard office environment.
