What You'll Do
As an Event Security Officer, you'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for guests, clients, and fellow team members.
Responsibilities include
Monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas
Conducting bag checks and guest screening procedures
Verifying tickets, credentials, and access permissions
Providing directions and guest assistance
Maintaining clear access routes and crowd flow
Enforcing venue policies and procedures
Reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and incidents
Responding professionally to guest concerns and complaints
Assisting with emergency response and evacuations when necessary
Providing security escorts and support as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Reliable transportation and communication methods
Ability to obtain a Texas Non-Commissioned Security Officer License (Level II)
No security license? No problem.
5 STAR provides Level II training and exam preparation at no cost. Applicants must successfully complete all state licensing requirements, including fingerprinting and a background check.

Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to
Stand and walk for extended periods during event shifts
Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and move throughout event venues
Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Effectively communicate with guests, clients, and team members
Work Environment
Event Security Officers regularly work in
Outdoor venues and varying weather conditions
Large crowds and high-traffic environments
Loud concert, sporting event, and festival settings
Fast-paced and dynamic event operations
Evening, weekend, and holiday schedules
