HOURS OF WORK: Hours Vary includes holidays, evenings and weekends based on business needs

SUMMARY
The Remote Assistant Operator Technician is responsible providing on-site, hands on technical ability and operating skills required to maintain AmTote’s wagering equipment. This position ensures efficient service to the customer, working in a live and non-live race environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Operates wagering system and/or all peripheral equipment or system associated with AmTote’s service.
- Generates necessary reports as required by customer mutuel departments and state regulatory agencies.
- Troubleshoots and repairs, or supervises repair of equipment associated with AmTote.
- Follows AmTote safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES - SUPERVISORY
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities/duties
- This position is empowered to take initiative with applicable duties/projects and may receive direction or instruction from senior department team members.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 0 to 1 years’ experience
- High School Diploma and additional education a plus
- Basic Computer Operation – should have an understanding of Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, 7, 10 – Excel spreadsheets
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, works well with people, including other employees, the general public and customers.
- Experience changing computer video resolution, how to change hard drive parameters and how to use a digital voltmeter.
- Experience using “ping”.
- Understanding software drives such as sound cards, video cards and printers.
- Basic understanding of basic electrical principles.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds short distances.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible, and reliable.
- Ability to learn quickly, detailed oriented, take direction, work and communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic industry knowledge, such as a superfecta is 4, Kentucky Derby is 1st Sat in May, etc.
