Cespira™ designs, manufactures, and supplies proprietary HPDI™ fuel systems that enable internal combustion engines to run on LNG/BioLNG today and other renewable fuels, such as hydrogen, as they become available. By retaining the diesel cycle engine, HPDI preserves the power, efficiency, engine braking, and durability that demanding applications require while enabling significantly lower carbon emissions. With a Global R&D Center in Vancouver, Canada, supported by European offices, an advanced manufacturing facility in Brescia, Italy, and a portfolio of about 400 patents, Cespira is uniquely positioned to support OEM adoption across multiple engine manufacturers. Established in 2024 as a joint venture between Volvo Group and Westport, Cespira operates with full strategic and operational independence. Cespira combines years of engineering expertise, proven technology, and industrial capability with the agility to accelerate HPDI commercialization across the global heavy-duty industry.
