The Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) is a charity dedicated to building and nurturing this global community of people who are thinking carefully about the world’s biggest problems and taking impactful action to solve them.
CEA is an Effective Ventures project. Effective Ventures Foundation (UK) (EV UK) is a charity in England and Wales (with registered charity number 1149828, registered company number 07962181, and is also a Netherlands registered tax-deductible entity ANBI 825776867). Amazi Water is the primary, in-country partner for clean water projects in Burundi. In collaboration with others, we are developing a national water strategy with the goal of providing sustainable access to clean water in every community by the end of 2028.
Here to Serve identifies and mobilizes people, charities, businesses and organizations to carry each other’s burdens during times of crisis, insuring guidance and assistance does not have to be sought after, but is offered freely by people and organizations that collaborate to compassionately respond to those navigating cancer. We seek to demystify the plethora of service organizations and to make them easily accessible, thereby easing the cancer journey. Here to Serve provides assistance to families with children battling cancer. We: Mobilize people and resources to meet the daily living requirements of families who do not qualify for government assistance. Build online communities of support called Care Communities, that provide a network of services and financial assistance for families caring for their child or spouse battling cancer. Provide hard-to-find resources at the start and throughout treatment as needs arise. Here to Serve is a health and human services organization providing non-medical support services to patients and their caregivers who are navigating cancer. We are a 501 (c) (3) charity that collaborates and cooperates with the community including individuals, businesses, and other nonprofit organizations to reduce the suffering and emotional stress of individuals, families and caregivers during cancer treatment.
