INVERMAR inicia sus actividades en 1988, teniendo como primer objetivo desarrollar, producir y elaborar productos en base a salmón, los cuales estarían destinados al consumidor final. Debido a esto último, se enfoca en canales de distribución masivos tales como supermercados, restaurantes y hoteles. En el año 2008, INVERMAR consigue duplicar la capacidad productiva de la compañía. El hito más relevante fue la finalización de la eco piscicultura de recirculación de Lago Verde. Esta piscicultura permite controlar el entorno de desarrollo del salmón con la finalidad de asegurarnos que los peces que ingresen al mar estarán en las mejores condiciones posibles. El 2010 la compañía lleva a cabo un aumento de capital mediante una oferta pública de colocación de 56.000.000 de acciones de pago, cuya recaudación tenía como destino el crecimiento futuro, en especial la siembra de los próximos dos años. El año 2012, la compañía superó las 31.000 toneladas de cosecha y alcanzó una facturación consolidada histórica por sobre los US$147 millones.

United States Seafoods is a leading producer in Alaska’s multispecies groundfish fisheries. The company owns a fleet of two factory trawlers and four trawl catcher vessels, including the largest head and gut factory trawler in the United States. This year we are currently fishing the following vessels: F/T Seafreeze America, F/T Seafreeze Alaska, C/V Alaska Endeavor, C/V Alaska Knight, C/V Alaska Provider, and C/V Alaska Chieftain. US Seafoods fishes in the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and Gulf of Alaska for flatfish, rockfish, Pacific cod, and Atka mackerel under a number of management programs including the Amendment 80 and Gulf of Alaska rockfish catch share programs, license limitation program, and the Community Development Quota (CDQ) program. The company’s breadth of operations in Alaska fisheries is unique. US Seafoods employs approximately 350 people on an annual basis, including Wheelhouse crew, deck crew, engineering staff, factory management, galley, fish processors, office management and administrative personnel. Our vessels operate in Alaska approximately 10 months a year. They return to Seattle each year for a 2 month shipyard period for regular repairs and maintenance. United States Seafoods has a significant presence in the Seattle maritime community through its recent acquisition of the NOAA Eastlake facility with almost one-half mile of pier face for moorage of large vessels. USS operations also extend to marine services, as it has taken a leading role in the groundfish surveys of the North Pacific, including the groundfish surveys for the Eastern Bering Sea shelf, Gulf of Alaska, Aleutian Islands, and Chukchi Sea.

Established in 1947 by consent of Congress, the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) is an interstate compact agency that helps resource agencies and the fishing industry sustainably manage our valuable Pacific Ocean resources in a five-state region. Member states include California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. Each represented by three Commissioners. Mission As stated by the governing compact, PSMFC's purpose shall be “to promote the better utilization of fisheries – marine, shell, and anadromous, which are of mutual concern, and to develop a joint program of protection and prevention of physical waste of such fisheries in all of those areas of the Pacific Ocean over which the compacting states jointly or separately now have or may hereafter acquire jurisdiction.” PSMFC's primary goal is to promote and support policies and actions to conserve, develop, and manage our fishery resources in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska. We accomplish this through coordinating research activities, monitoring fishing activities, and facilitating a wide variety of projects. We work to collect data and maintain databases on salmon, steelhead, and other marine fish for fishery managers and the fishing industry.

🐟 Inland Fisheries Ireland is a statutory body operating under the aegis of the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment (DCCAE) and was established under the Fisheries Act on 1st July 2010. Its principal function is the protection and conservation of the inland fisheries resource. Inland Fisheries Ireland promotes supports, facilitates and advises the Minister on the conservation, protection, management, development and improvement of inland fisheries, including sea angling. Inland Fisheries Ireland also develops policy and national strategies relating to inland fisheries and sea angling and advises the Minister on same.

The result is the most delicious, tender, sweet lobster, delivered to our docks every day. Our dockside tank rooms filter ocean water, providing the most natural environment to hold lobsters while they are graded for size and quality. Lobsters for the live market are then trucked to our Seabrook, NH fulfillment facility. This tank room location makes shipping nation and worldwide easy. After 25 years in the live lobster business, owner, Hugh Reynolds, recognized the importance of quality seafood processing and invested in creating the highest quality processing facility, located just 40 minutes from our Stonington, Maine docks. This investment allows Greenhead Lobster to have quality control over every step of processing. Using a High Pressure Processor (HPP) is what sets lobster processors apart. Sending live lobsters through our HPP allows for the quickest, most humane death. This stress-free, non-thermal process preserves flavor + texture.
