Seeing Systems
About Seeing Systems
Seeing Systems is a NATO-focused defence startup founded by brothers Matthew and Alexander Le Maitre that builds autonomous drone systems and AI-enabled software to support elite military units across the UK, Estonia, Luxembourg, Ukraine, and the US. Backed by Y Combinator, the company develops modular, mission-adaptive drone systems with swarm autonomy capabilities designed to operate effectively in contested electronic warfare environments where traditional systems fail. By enabling autonomous perception, decision-making, and planning, Seeing Systems significantly reduces operator workload while maintaining a tight feedback loop with field operators to ensure rapid iteration and real-world relevance. Operating with a small, talent-dense team, the company is expanding its portfolio beyond drones into larger munitions and related technologies, with multiple products planned for release within the next 12 months.

Culture & values
The team is intentionally small and talent-dense, with every hire having an outsized impact on the company's direction and products.
Founders value strong opinions, lightly held, and encourage healthy debate and discussion.
Ownership culture: no one is micromanaged; you set your own plans and execute.
Hands-on, building-focused culture: this is a hands-on environment, not a managing culture.
Variety in work routines: one day you're in the workshop, the next you're meeting a client or doing live testing at a private range.
No corporate bureaucracy and no endless meetings; a small group of exceptional people building things that matter for national security.
There is a tight feedback loop with operators in the field to ensure rapid iteration and real-world relevance.
