What the Startup Map covers

The Startup Map plots 26,785 funded startups in 2,438 cities, together with 24,800 open roles at the companies that are hiring. Every pin links to a company profile with funding, founders, open jobs, and industry, and every city has its own page listing the startups based there, the industries they cluster in, and the roles they are advertising.

The sections below cover the same companies without the map. Notable startups lists the most funded companies on the map. Startup salaries by city shows advertised salary ranges by role for each metro. Startup groups collects accelerator cohorts, alumni networks, and other affiliations. H-1B visa sponsors ranks regions by the number of employers that filed Labor Condition Applications. Data syncs regularly from Clera's company database, so the counts above move as new startups and roles are added.
