Assist engineers and geologists in applying scientific processes to infrastructure projects by collecting and testing soil, concrete, and asphalt samples. Verify that contractors are performing quality work in accordance with project plans and prepare detailed daily field reports.
Requires at least one year of construction experience and certifications including ACI Field, Radiation/HAZMAT, and CAPA A. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel for extended periods.

Yeh and Associates, Inc., Construction Services Department offers our technicians the experience of working on challenging geotechnical, transportation construction, bridge, and roadway projects.
As a Materials Technician, you will assist professional engineers or geologists in the practical application of engineering or scientific processes and techniques on infrastructure projects. You will obtain soil, concrete, and asphalt samples from various sources following standard procedures for specific testing to evaluate whether the materials are suitable for the intended use. Typically, the applicant will represent the owner to verify that the contractor is performing quality work in accordance with project plans. A friendly demeaner and desire to work together as a team to accomplish a common goal are a must.
Requirements
Overtime pay is available. When travel is required, travel expenses including lodging and per diem allowance are provided. We supply our technicians with a company vehicle, equipment, and tools.
