Perform repairs on electrical and hydraulic systems and conduct assigned preventive maintenance services. Utilize vehicle computer electronics to diagnose failures and document all work using fleet maintenance software.
Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Availability is required Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Bay Disposal is looking for a safety conscious Diesel Mechanic to join the team in Hampton, VA.
Pay rate: $27 - $35/hr
Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Reviews and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
What We Offer:
Pay rate: $28 - $32/hr depending on experience.
Quarterly safety bonuses

Guaranteed overtime
Garbage is very stable and we work year round.
Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
