Design Engineers contribute to the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects. Design Engineers work collaboratively with project teams, applying engineering principles to deliver high-quality solutions. They are expected to grow in their ability to manage tasks, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the firm's technical excellence.
Essential Functions: include the following.
Lead design efforts and oversee junior engineers.
Independent decision making
Communicate regularly with clients and vendors outside the office
Participate in presentations such as public meetings.
Qualifications
5+ years of design experience
Advanced design leadership
Professional Engineering (PE) Registration preferred
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in software such as CADD Based programs and systems, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
