Coordinator, Logistics

Summary

We are seeking a Contract Logistics Coordinator to join our team on-site in our Houston, TX office.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Data entry of required information into tools and systems to ensure shipment status visibility and demand planning
• Proactive monitoring of shipment progression to ensure on-time delivery
• Prepares logistics reporting and performance metric analysis as required
• Audit and process invoices for services related to logistics
• Support with data entry/analysis required for cost reporting and forecasting
• International and domestic transportation of shipments to project sites in the US
• Prepare survey notification, including required documentation and lookahead reporting for critical DSU materials in compliance with marine project cargo program requirements
• Evaluation of transportation lift plans, drawings, and method statements for oversized / heavy-lift cargoes
• Ensure the required documentation is provided to all stakeholders before the release of shipments
• Maintain documentation records for all shipments as per the company's document retention requirements.
• Reporting of monthly KPI measurements and maintenance of dashboards
• Reporting and escalation of logistics action items

Qualifications

Required experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in international transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
• project experience preferred
• High analytical and independent problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of international and domestic shipping and packing requirements
• Experience in multi-modal transportation of international and domestic origin materials, including heavy haul and breakbulk cargo.
