Brief Description:

Imani Village through the Imani Green Health Advocate internship seeks to provide an early career professional with a conservation experience in networking, certifications, and hands-on training. Throughout the internship, you will learn about tree care and treatment, how to identify trees for yourself and others, and canvas the community for tree related care and concerns. This internship seeks to empower your voice and lived experience to serve the community you call home. You will have the opportunity to know more about yourself, your surroundings, and play an integral part in the positive change you want for its future.

You will have a variety of experiences that expose you to real world challenges and have you enact the necessary changes in ways of education, canvassing, and planting trees amongst other tasks. Through the conservation internship, you will leave will a network of professionals, essential professional skills, and a working narrative of your experiences in formats such as resume, LinkedIn, and more.

Roles and responsibilities:

 What you can expect:

-    Learn about the identification, maintenance, and planting of trees

-    Create and facilitate workshops about tree information

-    Canvas the surrounding community 

-    Conduct tree health assessments

-    Maintenance and Plant trees

-    Research and present a tree relate community issue

-    Research and prepare your career path

You will be required to complete the following tasks:

Qualifications:

-    Ability to carry 35 lbs
