Conservation 

Brief Description:

Imani Village through the Imani Green Health Advocate internship seeks to provide an early career professional with a conservation experience in networking, certifications, and hands-on training. Throughout the internship, you will learn about tree care and treatment, how to identify trees for yourself and others, and canvas the community for tree related care and concerns. This internship seeks to empower your voice and lived experience to serve the community you call home. You will have the opportunity to know more about yourself, your surroundings, and play an integral part in the positive change you want for its future.

If you seek to expand your knowledge about the natural environment while engaging with the residents that make a community to educate and work hand in hand, apply here! You will have a variety of experiences that expose you to real world challenges and have you enact the necessary changes in ways of education, canvassing, and planting trees amongst other tasks. You will receive a multitude of career certified accreditation and professional development skills. Through the conservation internship, you will leave will a network of professionals, essential professional skills, and a working narrative of your experiences in formats such as resume, LinkedIn, and more.

Roles and responsibilities:

 What you can expect:

-    Learn about the identification, maintenance, and planting of trees

-    Create and facilitate workshops about tree information

-    Canvas the surrounding community 

-    Conduct tree health assessments

-    Maintenance and Plant trees

-    Research and present a tree relate community issue

-    Research and prepare your career path
