This role leads and supports employees on the production floor, ensures safety and quality standards are met, and assists with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and daily production activities.
The Working Supervisor is expected to lead by example, provide direction and coaching to employees, maintain production schedules, and work alongside the team to meet operational goals.
This is a night shift position working Monday through Thursday from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The position includes a $2.00 per hour shift differential and opportunities for overtime.
Working Production Supervisor Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
Supervise and support night shift production employees.
Assign daily work and monitor employee performance and productivity.
Train, coach, and assist team members with production processes.
Work alongside employees by operating equipment and performing production duties.
Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic machine maintenance in assigned production areas.
Troubleshoot production and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Monitor production quality and perform in-process quality checks.
Ensure materials are available and replenish supplies as needed.
Assist with packaging, palletizing, and organization of finished products.
Maintain accurate production documentation.
Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Communicate production updates and shift concerns to the Production Manager.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.

QualificationsPreferred Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Previous lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience operating manufacturing equipment, preferably extrusion or injection molding.
Basic computer skills and ability to complete production documentation.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
