The Assistant Program Manager oversees operations and programming for the Transitional Living Program, including staff supervision and training. They provide direct client care, crisis intervention, and support youth in building independent living skills.
A Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Candidates must have 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of management or supervisory experience, and a valid driver's license.

Overview:
The Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community, including two crisis nurseries, an emergency shelter, permanent and transitional housing, a food and clothing pantry, street outreach, and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
The Transitional Living Program Assistant Manager is a full-time 12-month position that includes weekend, evening, and holiday shifts. The Transitional Living Program (TLP) includes a group living environment at the Arnett House and an apartment model at Devonshire. The Assistant Manager assists program staff as they strive to engage and establish mutually respectful, trusting relationships with the youth we serve. Clients are approached from a strengths- and asset-based perspective, and partnerships are formed with them to help identify issues, concerns, and needs. The goal of the TLP team is to provide care and support to youth in a safe and respectful environment, and to work with them to build their independent skills and address the issues that led to their homelessness, so they can ultimately secure and maintain a stable living environment.
The Assistant Program Manager assists the Transitional Living Program Manager in overseeing operations and programming. Duties include staff supervision and training; administrative assignments, life skills training, and direct client care.
Schedule: Full Time 35 hours per week. On-Call RHY Supervisor rotation (for 1 week, every 6-7 weeks). This emergency response system is intended to provide after-hours and weekend support to several residential programs
