The Assistant Resident Engineer oversees structural, civil, electrical, and mechanical construction projects while serving as the day-to-day Construction Manager. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, managing project documentation, reviewing contractor submittals, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications and safety standards.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of construction inspection or management experience. An OSHA 30-hour certification is required, along with proficiency in eBuilder and Microsoft Office.
As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will oversee structural, civil, electrical, and mechanical construction projects associated with the Tenant Construction and Application Program (TCAP). The Construction Manager will work closely with the Resident Engineer, contractors, field staff, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and Port standards.
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $70-$80/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
