What We’re Looking For
Tara Manufacturing is seeking a Truck Driver to safely transport products to customers and designated locations using company box trucks and transit vans. This role is responsible for completing deliveries safely and on time while providing professional customer service.
The position includes loading and unloading products, securing cargo, performing vehicle inspections, completing required delivery documentation, and communicating promptly about delays, customer concerns, or vehicle issues. During the off-season, the Truck Driver also supports warehouse operations based on business needs.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable working independently, and committed to representing Tara Manufacturing professionally with customers and coworkers.
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly Work Location: In person
Work schedule: In season, the typical start time is approximately 3:30 a.m. with a minimum 9-hour shift, subject to traffic, delivery schedules, and operational needs. During the off-season (generally December through February), this position works a standard daytime warehouse schedule with hours assigned based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Health Card).
Safely operate company box trucks and transit vans while following applicable transportation regulations and general DOT safety guidelines.
Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to support safe, on-time deliveries.
Load, unload, and properly secure products using safe material-handling practices.
Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections.
Report mechanical issues, accidents, traffic violations, or maintenance needs promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company vehicle.
Complete delivery logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation accurately.
Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries.
Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operating procedures.
Communicate delivery delays, customer concerns, and vehicle issues promptly.
Assist with warehouse and transportation-related duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Health Card).
Previous truck-driving experience preferred.
Experience operating box trucks and/or transit vans preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety, quality, and dependable attendance.
Physical Requirements
This is an active role requiring driving, lifting, climbing, and movement throughout the workday.
Ability to lift, move, and position products weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance.
Ability to climb in and out of company vehicles and to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
Ability to safely drive vehicle, sitting for extending periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
