The Maintenance Helper assists with light building maintenance, equipment repairs, and general janitorial tasks to ensure facility cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities include trash removal, setting up furniture for events, and performing routine repairs such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess the ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 30 pounds and climbing. Applicants must also pass a Diocesan background screening and demonstrate an appreciation for Catholic Church teachings.

Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings. High School diploma or equivalent required. Related experience in similar position is preferred. Must successfully pass Diocesan background screening and Safe Environment Training.
The ability to communicate, listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Strong command of both written and spoken English language.
The working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour day. This person will need to be available in the evening and weekends, as needed. Must be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressure. Regular workdays are Sunday through Thursday.
Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing 15 feet and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and
materials 30 pounds.
