Welcome to Specsavers – where we’re not just about eyecare and eyewear, but changing lives through better sight. Ranked the 5th Best Workplace™ in Canada and 12th globally by Great Place to Work®, we’re proud of our optometrist-owned model that makes high-quality, eyecare and eyewear accessible to all Canadians.

In Canada, our support office is based in Burnaby, BC. Since entering the market in 2021, we’ve been scaling rapidly, now with over 270 locations nationwide. With advanced clinical equipment and a wide range of affordable, high-quality eyewear, we’re transforming the way Canadians experience eyecare.
If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a values-driven organization, join us as we continue to grow. Together, we can change lives through better sight.

You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement while providing leadership, structure, and visibility across complex data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end delivery of data projects and initiatives across multiple business areas, including retail, clinical, and supply chain.
Lead one or more data-focused delivery teams to ensure successful, high-quality delivery aligned with business and data strategy objectives.
Develop, maintain, and execute delivery plans while effectively balancing capacity, demand, timelines, and priorities.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, technical teams, and stakeholders to refine and prioritize backlogs.
Facilitate delivery meetings and Agile ceremonies, promoting effective team collaboration and transparency.
Provide regular reporting and stakeholder communications on project status, progress, capacity, and risks.
Manage changes in scope, requirements, budgets, and timelines while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
Ensure solutions are appropriately tested, including functional, regression, user acceptance, performance, and end-to-end testing.
Support compliance with information security, data privacy, regulatory, and governance requirements, including GDPR.
Work closely with data architects and technical teams to align delivery outcomes with enterprise architecture standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating delivery practices, methodologies, and emerging technologies.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience delivering data products and services within a matrixed or cross-functional environment.
Proven track record of successfully delivering data projects in fast-paced, complex, and evolving environments.
Experience managing medium-to-large projects or portfolios of smaller initiatives.
Experience using both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks, issues, and dependencies.
Experience working with cross-functional teams including product, technical, architecture, and business stakeholders.
Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
Understanding of data platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
Foundational knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling concepts.
Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR and data governance principles.
Relevant project or delivery certifications (Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMI, APM, or similar) are considered an asset.
A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering business value.
