We're hiring to fill a current vacancy, join our team at Optiks International - Kamloops - Victoria Street - partners of solis optics, as an Optician!

In this role, you’ll help customers find their perfect fit in a fun, supportive, dynamic and rewarding environment.  Make a meaningful impact on people’s lives - one frame at a time.

This position is a full-time working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday.

 

What You’ll Do

• Deliver exceptional customer service and educate customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring style, comfort, and optimal vision
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens order
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties
• Guide customers in selecting eyewear that combines fashion with function
• Support day-to-day store operations and contribute to overall store success
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to keep the store running smoothly

What You Bring

• Minimum one year of experience in an optical setting
• Registered Optician in British Columbia
• Proficient with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively
