THE POSITION

The Sales Development Specialist (SDS) plays a key role in driving growth by generating leads, qualifying opportunities, booking sales meetings, and supporting early-stage territory or account development alongside the Account Executive team. This role is ideal for someone who is results-driven, customer-focused, and energized by building relationships and uncovering new business opportunities.

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING AN IMPACT

  • Generate and qualify leads through outbound calls, prospecting, research, and targeted campaigns.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the Account Executive team for next-step engagement.
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective and existing customers to support early-stage sales growth.
  • Follow up with customers to maintain engagement and deliver an exceptional experience.
  • Identify and develop new customer accounts to expand market reach.
  • Use CRM and sales tools to uncover customer needs and support tailored solutions.
  • Track and document sales development activities and provide regular activity updates.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and new opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Maintain current product knowledge and industry awareness to support informed customer conversations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen customer relationships and support sales objectives.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU REQUIRE

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, sales development, lead generation, or customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated success generating and qualifying leads through outbound outreach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across phone, email, and virtual channels.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, digital sales tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage follow-ups and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and position appropriate solutions.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive team player with a strong commitment to customer service.
