The Shop Operations Manager and Field Service Technician oversees shop operations, spare parts fulfillment, and after-sales service support for North America. This role involves performing system upgrades, conducting failure analysis, and traveling to customer sites for maintenance and repairs.
Candidates must have completed technical education such as vocational training, trade school, or an associate/bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, electrical interconnections, and proficiency in business software tools are required.
Position Overview
The Shop Operations Manager and Field Service Technician is responsible for SmartFlower shop operations, spare parts fulfillment and after sales service support for North America. Based at our engineering and service center in Woburn, MA, this this role offers broad ownership and autonomy for service center operations alongside tight collaboration with field service, engineering and manufacturing teams. The scope includes replacement part fulfillment, performing SmartFlower system upgrades and refurbishment, handling customer service cases and traveling to customer sites to perform maintenance and repair activities. We value candidates with a strong sense of continuous improvement, an ownership mentality and an ability to collaborate across global teams.
