The manager will oversee the end-to-end procurement process for solar projects, including sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing logistics. They are also responsible for warehouse stock control, maintaining ISO documentation, and preparing detailed purchase reports.
Candidates must have 12 to 15 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management, specifically within the solar or electrical infrastructure sector. A degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering is preferred, along with proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
Responsibilities
• Basic knowledge of sourcing following: Transformer, HT & LT
panels up to 110KV including Power &
Communication Cables and all other BOS items required for Ground mount projects
etc.
• Ability to source Transport services across India
• Sourcing of Services and O&M spares
• Warehouse stock management and Control
• Identify potential vendors for supply & services
• Compare, evaluate and prepare quote comparison for offers from
suppliers
• Negotiate the offers received
• Creation of Orders in SAP
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Ensure GRN creation and submission of documents for payment
• Documentation includes; Obtaining order acknowledgement, Warranty
certificates, BGs and maintain their records
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery
information and invoices
• Quarterly Re-conciliation of Vendor account statement
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
• ISO documentation requirement to be maintained
• Maintain MIS of released orders, delivery status, payment status,
warranty documents, Import documentation
